How Do I Join?

So, are you ready to take the first step towards all the opportunities and benefits that Air Cadets can offer you?

We are interested in you and your potential, and will help you get the most from your experience as a cadet.

Worried about fitting in?  Equality is a central part of the Air Cadets’ ethos.  The cadet experience is open to everyone, so whatever your nationality, background or ability, if you’re between 12 and 19 years old you can join us!

These are the documents you need to join our squadron:

  1. Identification, must be one of:
    1. a valid Canadian passport; or
    2. a birth certificate issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial, or federal government agency; or
    3. a “Landed Immigrant” or “Permanent Residency” card; or
    4. any card, visa, or permit (work, study, resident, etc with photo) issued by the Canadian government which legally authorizes the person to reside in Canada for an extended period of time.  If this applies to you, please also bring your passport from your home country.
  2. Proof of health insurance:
    1. Provincial health card, not expired; or
    2. Federal temporary health card; or
    3. If not a Canadian citizen, private insurance card including plan expiry date.

Originals must be brought to the squadron where we will make copies of the necessary documents and return the originals to you.  There is also an application form to be filled out by the prospective cadet and his/her parent or guardian.
